Clay Intaglio Private Party

Join me for a charming botanical intaglio workshop for kids ages 8–12! In this hands-on class, students will roll out air-dry clay and press flowers, leaves, and other natural elements into the surface to create delicate raised impressions inspired by vintage European intaglios. Each child will shape their design into a circular keepsake and mount it inside one of my signature 6x6” gold bamboo matted frames for an elegant finished piece.

I have gold bamboo frames available (pictured), or you may bring your own frames if you have some you'd rather use! My frames are an additional $10 per guest. 

This project beautifully combines nature, texture, and timeless design into artwork that feels both creative and sophisticated. After class, I will carefully finish each intaglio by gilding the edges with gold paint and sealing the surface once dry for a polished final touch. Finished pieces will be available for pickup approximately two days after the workshop

Class size is intentionally capped at 6 students to create a relaxed, hands-on experience. Classes will take place in my dining room and kitchen studio in South Wheaton, near Arrowhead Golf Club. 

From time to time, I may photograph or film student artwork or close-up shots of hands creating for use on my website, social media, or marketing materials. I will never photograph children’s faces, as I strongly value children’s privacy. By registering for this class, you agree to these terms
