Please enjoy painting along with this free tutorial for your own practice & enjoyment! I've intended them for beginning artists of all ages - perfect for adults and kids who are creative and like to learn new skills.

To print, right click on any of the designs and open them in a new tab, or save them to your desktop. Here are all of the products I'm using in my videos as well as a few options to help you trace.*

There are four ways to trace these sketches:

  1. Tape it to a sunny window and use the light to trace it!
  2. Purchase a light board (linked above) to trace it - I have two that my daughter and I love.
  3. Place the design on top of carbon paper (linked above), on top of watercolor paper. Trace the design and the carbon will transfer onto the watercolor paper.
  4. Print them onto cardstock (linked above)! This one works in most inkjet printers. Tape down the edges with masking tape before painting to help keep it flat. If the paper gets wrinkly after you paint, cover it with a pillow case and blast it with the iron on the highest setting. It should also flatten out a bit when you frame it.
