6/23 Young Artist Series - Watercolor Hydrangeas

Join me for a cheerful watercolor workshop inspired by one of summer’s prettiest blooms: hydrangeas! In this beginner-friendly class for kids ages 8–12, students will paint a 5x7” hydrangea design using my signature pre-sketched format, allowing them to focus on color, technique, and creativity without the pressure of drawing everything from scratch.

Together, we’ll learn simple watercolor techniques like layering, blending, and creating soft floral textures while bringing these beautiful blossoms to life in shades of blue, pink, purple, or whatever colors inspire them most. This class is perfect for young artists of all skill levels and is designed to leave kids feeling proud of creating artwork that looks polished, frame-worthy, and completely their own.

Class size is intentionally capped at 6 students to create a relaxed, hands-on experience. Classes will take place in my dining room and kitchen studio in South Wheaton, near Arrowhead Golf Club. Because spots tend to fill quickly, I recommend booking groups together when possible.

The week before the event, I will email parents with my address, parking information, and any additional details.

From time to time, I may photograph or film student artwork or close-up shots of hands creating for use on my website, social media, or marketing materials. I will never photograph children’s faces, as I strongly value children’s privacy. By registering for this class, you agree to these terms
